Even though Melody’s disability stops her from walking, and talking she remembers anything she hears and learns from the TV, her daycare/school, and her parents. Melody has a photogenic memory that no one knows about other than her. Spaulding Street Elementary School has a disability program but no one can help Melody so she usually just sits in the corner listening to audiobooks. Melody got along with everyone and did everything right without a fuss. Until one day when a different teacher showed up, the students listened to children songs like Itsy Bitsy Spider, ABC’s, Twinkle Twinkle, Old Mcdonald and many other ones too all day, everyday. All of the kids were tired of it so Melody started throwing a tantrum or what she calls her “tornado explosions.” It ended up getting out of control and all of the other students in her class started crying or got scared. After about an hour of her throwing a tantrum her mom showed up and told the teacher that she must not have read the notes from the teacher saying everything we already knew. But, what made my mom mad the most was that we have less than a quarter left of school until summer break and were still learning the letter “B”. Mom calmed her down and left about a half an hour
