Spanish Teacher Position

I am interested in applying for the Spanish teacher position at Ashton-Franklin Center High School. I am interested in this position because I have student taught at a high school in the foreign language department. I really enjoy working with adolescents, their energy and opinions on the world make me want to learn more from them by teaching about the cultures associates with Spanish. I have also studied abroad in Costa Rica and have learned many cultural aspects that I can teach the students about what it is like to go to a foreign country.

I am a 2018 graduate from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Art in Spanish Language and Literature with Illinois licensure. Being a teacher in high school requires many skills one of them is to communicate with the community of the students and the administration. I have student taught for a semester and went to school and department meetings where I learned how to communicate with parents and students. I have learned about how to differentiate instruction to help all students learn and succeed in class.

I am interested in working in a rural district like#275 because I relish the tight knit community and I was raised in both rural and urban and I enjoy the environment of the country-side.
