I’m pursuing a Spanish and biology double major with a psychology minor - I propose that my directed study be a combination of all of these things: I would like to learn how to communicate effectively and respectfully in the medical field to spanish speaking individuals. I plan on studying how Spanish speaking individuals and families approach medicine, how living in the United States makes receiving medical care difficult, and ways to make Spanish speaking individuals and families more comfortable in a mostly english speaking country while pursuing medical advice.
