Imagine this, you are watching a rocket launch on tv where SpaceX is launching 6 people to Mars for the first time in history. You hear “10...9...8...7” from the launch control. You can't believe after all these years it's finally happening, everyone has been waiting for it to happen. “5...4...3...2...” The last second before the rocket launches “1.” In that split second you thought the future of space travel could change, but now you see the rocket explode into a fiery blaze.
On september 1st, 2016 a SpaceX test rocket named Falcon 9 exploded from a miscalculation with the oxygen. The rocket exploded on the Cape Canaveral Air Force station launch pad. This disaster raises concerns to many people about future launches. After the explosion SpaceX quickly found the problem, it was the super-chilled oxygen that the company uses to allow them for more dense storage. The oxygen was cooled to an extreme -340 degrees and this is 22 degrees from oxygens freezing point at -362 degrees.(Popular science) Supposedly the liquid oxygen flowing through a tube froze and caused the explosion.
More safety concerns are raised because the rocket requires the astronauts to be inside the rocket before it is fueled. Traditional methods require astronauts to board after the rocket has been fueled and safety checked. SpaceX were planning
