Space X-An Epic Journey To Mars

Decent Essays
Today marks a new day in American history, for NASA colonists –with support from Space X- have officially established an American territory on Mars. The start of this dream began in the beginning of the twenty-first century, and scientist may now call this dream a reality. None of this would be possible without the dedication of the astronauts who have risked their lives for their country. Their journey began with a devotion to the knowledge and training necessary to make the epic journey to Mars. An epic journey that involved six months on a spacecraft and an endless amount of mental strength. Once they arrived at the foreign planet that is when the vigorous part of the mission began.

Many people have dreamed of traveling to another planet. Since the technology is there, the clock is ticking for the day the announcement is made that a spaceship is making its way to Mars. Most people do not think about what will happen once there are people on Mars, however, and what they will do then. Survival and living a sufficient life away from the civilization on Earth are common things one might think of. “The Coming Schism” by James E. and Alcestis R. Oberg explores what will happen when people finally colonize Mars.…

A space expedition goes horribly wrong just after Sol 6 on the planet of Mars (The Antagonist). As happenstances go he survives and struggles for survival on the planet that's constantly trying to kill him. Every time a space movie comes out that involves NASA and other world space agencies, I have the same thought: In recent years, we’ve somehow lost our sense of wonder about space flight — about the fact that we, as a species, are regularly sending human beings off the planet entirely. And, ideally, bringing them back. And that, of course, is the story at the heart of the movies The Martian and The Right Stuff. These movies are masterpieces that tell the story of fearless American astronauts and test pilots who went above and beyond, conquering the sound barrier and space.…

Since the beginning of time, humans have been mesmerized by discovery. The inclination to explore is in every person, whether they realize it or not. Though no one has unearthed all the secrets of Earth, countless scientists, astronauts, and engineers yearn for the opportunity to watch an American citizen take their first steps on Mars. " NASA aims to extend human presence deeper into the solar system and to the surface of Mars," states a well-educated member of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration ("NASA's Journey to Mars: Pioneering Next Steps in Space Exploration" [4]). However, would colonizing The Red Planet be a threat to America's economy and to the lives of brave astronauts?…

For over 55 years, humans have been flying in space. With an understanding of evolution, it has always been assumed that human bodies have adapted to the gravitational force found here on Earth. The space station and the shuttle that most NASA astronauts will stay in orbits 350 km above Earth, with a gravitational pull 90% stronger than it is on the ground (NASA Space Bones). Giancoli describes objects orbiting the Earth as feeling weightless because they are, in essence, free falling towards Earth. The force of gravity causes objects orbiting Earth to “fall” from their normal, straight path as the only force applied on them is gravity.…

Galileo Galilei [observed] Mars with a primitive telescope, becoming the first person to use it for astronomical purposes” (“All about Mars”). Consequently, Mankind has since then explored and theorized about the Red Planet for centuries from observing and mapping out the celestial body, discovering specific landmarks and moons, determining its axis, to modernly performing “flybys”, orbiter missions, rovers probing and testing its surface, and most recently discovering water on the planet (“All about Mars”). It is time that mankind can completely confirm these theories and discoveries. The exploration of Mars is critical and must be funded because the mission will add to our knowledge of the universe, benefit…
