ABSTRACT
My research topic is Steve Russell Space War. In the 1950s, researchers would every so often develop a video game as an exhibit, an exploration help, or a preparation exercise, yet these projects were generally short on intelligence and not proposed basically for entertainment. In 1962, a youthful software engineer from MIT, Steve Russell powered that made the first prevalent PC amusement. Spacewar was practically the first PC diversion …show more content…
Steve Russell influenced by one professor Marvin Minsky who had written a little program that displays three spots on the screen.
Russell created Spacewar, first two player video game for digital computers during 1960s at MIT where he graduated. First version of game was developed in 1961 by Russell. After that Peter Samson, Dan Edwards and Martin Graetz made some advancement in 1962. PDP-1(Programmed Data Processor) is an operating system as Digital Equipment Corporations (DEC) first computer in PDP series which was developed in 1959. It uses 3,000 diodes and 2,700 transistors. It allows multiple users to share the UI.
Spacewar is the first video game of digital computers developed by Russell. Spacewar is a two player game. Each player takes control and manage starship and tries to destroy the other. The star at the center of the screen drags both the ships towards. It needs attention to keep away from the star. Russell started working on game in 1961 and by February 1962, he completed coding. The initial version took nearly 200 hours to
