Later in 1965 the first space walks was done by Alexey Leonov and Ed White but they could not be out in space for so long. The most famous space suits are the ones worn by Apollo astronauts during the first spacewalk on the moon. These suits were used between 1968 and 1975. The initial suits had 6 hours of life support but later they carried more water and oxygen. In modern spacesuits american assonants have used the space shuttle EMU(Extravehicular Mobility Unit) since 1982. Mann.A(2010) has explained that The EMU is a semi-rigid two-piece suit, consisting of a hard upper torso section with primary life support, electrical systems and Apollo-style bubble helmet and a soft lower piece that covers the astronaut’s waist and legs. These suit provides life support for 8.5 hours and are much more developed than other suits in the past but NASA is still trying to develop the new generation of space

America could lose its global power if they don’t get back into space. I know that NASA just shut down manned missions due to budget cuts, and if we don’t go back to space, the U.S. will seem weak. This could cause war, and make more budget issues. However, if they start sending more people to space the U.S. will have more debt, and might be unprepared when a war occurs. The U.S. should go to space because almost all of the countries the U.S. has been competing with have access to space, and therefore the U.S. should too.…

The leaps we have taken to learn what is found in space is quite remarkable, we started out just looking with our naked eye wondering what we were even looking at, to now-a-days where we are trying to answer the question of should we live in space. Scientist, Head NASA officials, and so many more have expressed their personal opinions on what is going to happen next, and one bit of common ground that they can all come to is that money is going to be a main issue. The answer is no, but what we do need to do is begin to do research on making it possible to go to space without sending our nation into more and more debt, How do you expect to build and upkeep a moon base, that may cost billions and billions of dollars, when the country is already 18.15 trillion in debt?…
