The United States of America is a very wealthy country that spends our tax money on important things, space exploration is not one of those things. Space exploration is just a waste, it is definitely less important than hunger and poverty. It's not just something we don't need it, it's also a very dangerous mission. Space exploration can also lead astronauts to chronic boredom. We do not need to be use money on things we don’t need.
America may be rich altogether, but lots of the people in it are not, lots of our people live in poverty and face hunger. Our government still decides to invest in space exploration instead of our hungry people. In the article “Leaving Main Street” from our Pearson Realize book unit two a man named Michael Griffin says, “ When we contemplate …show more content…
These astronauts go into a place with many unknown things that could harm them, particles, gases and many other things. Like in the article, ¨Trip to Mars Could Damage Astronauts’ Brains” by Laura Sanders, a writer with a Phd in biology explains, ¨ For his team's new study, the scientists beamed mice with high-energy. The idea was to simulate cosmic rays in space. Six weeks later, the mice showed memory problem. They had a harder time recognizing toys than did unzapped mice. They also did poorer job of remembering where a toy had been.” This is showing that an astronaut in space could get hit with particles like these and forget valuable information like which button is turn on gravity or self destruction. If something like this happened, things could go terribly wrong. This proves that if we let astronauts go into space they could have their brains sliced by the high-charged particles. These astronauts’ could get lost in space because they don't remember how to get back. Space isn't only a waste of money, but a danger to
