Executive Summary

In the world of graphic design there are two major software options. One of them is

Adobe Illustrator, which is included in Adobe’s Creative Cloud. Adobe Illustrator is

the most popular software on the market to edit vector graphics, which are mainly

used for the creative execution of both print and digital advertising. The latest

version of the Creative Cloud was released on November 2, 2016.

The other graphic design software, which our team researched, was CORELDraw

developed by the Corel Corporation. CORELDraw is also a vector graphics editor

and is also part of a creative suite, which goes by the name of Corel’s Graphics Suite

8X. The latest version of this software was released March 2016.

Illustrator has become the industry standard in the graphic design field and because

of this file sharing runs a lot smoother for companies that use Illustrator. This also

means that since it’s the industry standard, there are a lot more resources for

Illustrator than CORELDraw.

That being said, CORELDraw also has its perks. CORELDraw has a node

suite from the company, CorelDraw Graphics Suite X8. The latest version has

characteristics for customizing workspaces in relevant, as well as a clean and

updated interface. Graphics Suite X8 is solely for Windows, with both 32-bit and

64-bit versions. Mac users preference need Parallels$15.95 at Amazon or some other

software that allows a Windows setting on their machine to do it, which is not an

ideal solution.

Part of what makes Corel's package attractive is all the user backlash to Adobe's

revamped pricing structure. Adobe Creative Cloud costs $69.99 per period (for a

year-long commitment), whereas CorelDraw Graphics Suite X8 sells for $999 (boxed

edition). An update is also available from X4, X5, or X6 for $99.

CorelDraw Graphics Suite prevails a viable alternative to those who are looking for

the best alternative to Adobe Illustrator. It consigns to all the major Adobe file

formats, helps high-resolution multi-monitor setups, and offers full characteristics.

The graphics suite comprises six sections:

● CorelDraw X8
● Photo-Paint X8
● PowerTrace X8

● Connect X8
● Website Creator
● Capture

The Ultimate Attraction For years turning the page in a magazine, or clicking on a new link in your browser the first thing that appears is commonly an advertisement. Now imagine it’s a couple engaging each other in a very sexual way. Would this steal the attention and make you consider the what advertisement is for? Since the beginning of multimedia there have been advertisements, displays that are used to promote products and services to a wide range of audiences. The conflict of how to sell certain products has always been a struggle however, deciding how to properly place, and use the intended product in a way that would convince the audience and others to purchase or want to purchase the subject.…

Some political and economic challenges affecting Mars Direct involve the budget NASA has for the missions. The cost to send humans to Mars is around $30-50 billion (for private companies it is estimated to be $5billions). NASA’s budget each year is approximately $18billions so the corporation cannot afford to go to Mars alone (as they have to distribute this budget to their other formal missions). They will be looking towards international partnerships and cooperation, unless major disruptive technology comes to the way to make it viable.…

Upon skimming the later essays of, “Signs of Life in the USA” by Jack Solomon and Sonia Maasik, I felt especially perplexed by what I read on pages 248-249 on the first paragraph of the essay, “Advertising Does Not Stand Alone” by Julia B. Corbett. After deep consideration, I ultimately determined that this portion of the essay begins by explaining how nothing in society can have power without working for the benefit of other institutions as well as its own. The writing goes on to explain that advertising doesn’t exist on its own, but instead is tied to a wide range of other institutions. This paragraph then concludes with the idea that advertising will forever remain powerful and influential because of its incredibly widespread existence. In terms of the entire essay, I feel that this opening paragraph works to establish a lot of background for what the…

Ever since the age of sputnik and the race to the moon, The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has been propelling humanity forward through innovations in technology and providing a brighter future for America. However, recent years have seen cuts to the overall budget of NASA and more budget proposals are seen every year. Our country cannot afford to let NASA fade into irrelevance and be left to romanticize about what could have been. Instead, we should increase NASA’s budget to give them the funding they need. A well funded NASA can guide America into the future of science, technology, and exploration as well as fabricate stable jobs and industry across the globe.…

The modern times has seen even more NASA budget cuts and a rise in private contractors looking to space. The budget cuts may even be costing the US more than its saving them. A writer from the washington post says “Since the shuttle 's retirement, the United States has been forced to rely on Russia to take its astronauts to the station, an expensive and troubling arrangement that now costs $76 million per seat” (Davenport). There are multiple astronauts on the space station with multiple launches a year, the price of using rockets could severely add up. Most recently in the bid for cheaper space travel are the contracting of private corporations.…
