Renown Health (RH) is the Northern Nevada 's largest healthcare network. They are a not-for-profit locally governed network with over 5,000 employees. Offering multiple hospitals, urgent care centers, imaging and x-ray services, and dozens of other medical specialties, Renown Health is the most comprehensive community based healthcare network available to northern Nevada. Working with the Truckee Meadows Healthy Community (TMHC), Renown will support a collective impact planning process to build a cross-sector initiative focused on community health. This will include food security, housing, and the creation of new jobs with the intention of generating over $1 million for the community over the next three years. RH will also work with over a dozen local organizations to lead the Safe Kids Washoe County program which works to protect kids from unintentional injuries, the No. 1 cause of death in for children in the United States. Last but not least, Renown has invested a total of $400,000 towards the Northern Nevada HOPES campaign, health education and a brain exhibit with the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum, and transitional housing needs for the Committee to Aid Abused Women …show more content…
To improve the level of integrity throughout the organization down to a personal level, I would hold cyclical 4-hour classes in which staff members from all levels would attend quarterly. The classes would be consistent from a macro perspective, but tailored specific to similar work roles at the micro level to bring the most useful and crucial information to the individuals attending the integrity building class sessions. To facilitate greater collaboration, I would reevaluate the organization 's current decision rights structure. Once well understood, I would then hold meetings with assembled change management steering committees by department to reassess what is most irksome to handle by each functional unit within that department, looking for areas to award greater responsibility to qualified workgroups farther down the organizational structure. This would inspire personal growth throughout the organization, and, create more time for specialized and highly valuable resources at the top of the organization to focus on improving/creating greater value creation methods for the company. To build on Renown 's already proven track record for excellence, I would continue to engrain the always strive for excellence culture throughout the entire
