Growing up mom cook 98% of everything that past my lips. I learned by watching her that food prepared with love has the ability to go along way. She also taught me that the secret ingredient to any dish is a dash of love and a silent prayer.

However, I have spent my career adjusting and adapting to new challenges, and I am enthusiastic about this one.

Being a cook, I understand that planning and purchasing food takes up an enormous amount of time. I recognize to benefit of Plated.com and would delight in being part of it. I grew up with a mom that was a great cook where cooking at home was the norm, special occasions were celebrated with feasts at home or at my Grandmother’s house rather than in a restaurant. It warms my heart to know that in a high tech world there is a company working to bring that concept home again.

And I know first hand that there is nothing like the immediate response you get when you give someone something delicious to eat or taste. Food brings such pleasure to both you the cook and those you are sharing with.

For me personally, cooking is another way to release my creativity. Cooking is a chance to share new experiences with someone, to share the passion and joy of food as you know it. There is just such a warm feeling of love that rushes over you when you see the smiles of your guests after the meal
