South Texas College When you pick a college, it’s a lot like picking a home. You need to like the environment you’re in in, enjoy the people around you, and be able to live there for the next few years of your life. Some of the steps you have to take to find the perfect university or college for you are, making a list of pros and cons on joining that college, students and parents should have no unanswered questions by the time they send their deposit to a school. Some other steps are, looking at the schools ranking to help make a decision, and you shouldn't dwell on a rejection letter, even one from a dream school. South Texas College is located in Weslaco, Texas and there is another one located in McAllen, Texas. There is about 31,000 students enrolled in South Texas college. Most of the students in this college are hispanic (94%) and the other 6% are another race. The tuition cost is 720 dollars and the other cost are 400 dollars. The student to teacher ratio at STC is 22 student to 1 Teacher. The instructors need a masters and a doctorate to be able to teach at STC. The sports that are offered at South Texas College are football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, tennis and many more. They have many clubs you can join. There is no sororities or fraternities at STC Student that parents make less than 30,000 apply for financial aid. Students can apply for scholarships online or you can go to the school and apply there. Eligibility for the Federal Pell Grant is partially determined by the number of credit hours in which the student is enrolled during the semester and the Expected Family Contribution (EFC).
