We made a team and had a interview with Wang Xiaofei, the chairman of South Beauty, one of the largest chain restaurant corporation in China. This is a family enterprise, which is owed by Wang Xiaofei’s mother, Zhang Lan. South beauty attracted Chinese media’s eyes in 2010 as Wang Xiaofei got married with a famous Chinese actress. Since that, it expanded its business to Tai Wan. As far as I know, operating chain restaurants in china is very hard due to the competition. Nowadays, the dining market is mature, when we hang out in the business cycle, we can various restaurants. During the hard time of operating restaurants even chain restaurants corporation, South Beauty is still earning a lot of money from this business.

Also, for accounting department in South Beauty, the financial data is now processed by the ERP system and can hardly go wrong when it is computed by the system. Besides, I think that count accuracy in relation to stock outs and required rush shipments is also one of the KPIs. In hospitality industry, inventory control is very important for companies in this industry. When the inventory data is centralized in the ERP system, purchasing department can keep track on the inventory situation in each hotel and purchase and delivery inventory to each hotel before the inventory runs out. The costs of inventory should be lower when the company buys all inventory as a whole instead of distributing the purchasing power to each hotel because suppliers always provide more discounts for larger deals.
The accounting department of south beauty do need to worry all day. Financial data and accounts could be processed in ERP system, it is not easy to make mistakes due to the calculating by ERP system. In addition, I think the counting accuracy relative to the stock details and request delivery are also belong to KPI. In the hospitality industry, inventory control is very important in this business of the company. When the inventory data set in the ERP system, purchasing department can track inventory in each restaurant before you run out of inventory and materials procurement and
