For many Sub-Saharan countries, the economies of some of the most powerful countries are plummeting and heading for the trash can. Nigeria and South Africa, the two most strengthened countries are sinking. With China’s economy slowly falling, many other countries are experiencing recessions, environmental issues, and poor production of exporting goods. The New York Times was able to speak with Ibbo Mandaza, a political analyst and businessman in Zimbabwe. He stated, “The Chinese are not romantic anymore, about with their relations with Africa-far from it. For them it's purely economic” (Document 3). For the present and past history of of Sub-Saharan countries has economically plummeted resulting in being the world’s poorest countries. As well as the degree of corruption that is held by Africa is the chain and ball of all political powers within the continent. Looking in much further depth for the future of Africa, I feel that the future held for Africa is no the greatest and most beneficial. The continuous problems of war, issues environmentally, and the poor knowledge they carry for resources is pathetic. Africa is headed for the wrong path and is unfortunately going in the wrong direction. I believe Africa has potential but very minimal potential to exceed. The world is advancing at an exponential rate and continually growing, while Africa is at the beginning of minimal growth. For what the future holds, Africa does not have a bright future. As we grow and develop, we tend to look back at Africa and feel the need to help. As the greatest country in the world, there is no issue with that.
