My Life Song Analysis

My Life Soundtrack The first song I would have to choose is “ I’ve Been Watching You,” by Rodney Atkins. My favorite quote from this song would have to be, “He Said, I’ve been watching you dad, ain’t that cool. I’m your buck-a-roo, I wanna be just like you.” This quote has always gotten to me, especially from when I was very young. I have always wanted to be hardworking like my father, because I have always been proud of my father and I want him to be proud of me. The reason I have been proud of my father for so long is because no matter how hard things got he never gave up on trying to support our family. Even though he dropped out of school in ninth grade, he made it a priority to work as hard as he could to get us where we needed to go. This made it possible for my father to get his GED at forty-two and continue his education. This has always made me want to grow up to be hardworking like him. Next on my list is “The Man I Want To Be,” by Chris Young. My favorite quote from this song is, “I wanna be a …show more content…
Honestly my favorite quote from this song is, “He said someday I hope you get the chance to live like you were dying. Like tomorrow was a gift, and you’ve got eternity to think about what to do with it.” I know I may not be very good at living everyday to the fullest, but I do try my best. Every decision I have ever made has lead me to this point and I feel like I could have done so much better. This song honestly makes me think about my life choices, and how I would change some of them if I could. A lot of people do not realize how short life can be, and how much we take it for granted. None of us know exactly how much time we have left and I feel like we should make the most of it. My great grandfather was a great example of this and spent his entire life making the best of what he could. He was a great man and I loved him very much. I miss him everyday, and I regret not getting to say

Für Elise by Beethoven is the song that expresses who I am. When I started playing piano, I got frustrated that most of my family had a natural talent while I didn't. My father talked to me and gave me one of the most important lessons of my life: "Practice makes perfection, if you want something, insist until you get it". After playing piano as a hobby, at age 17 I decided to take my skills to the next level by taking piano lessons at college and I challenged myself to first learn how to play Für Elise. It wasn't easy, but practice made perfection.…

Listening to the selections I found they all generally appeal to me though others have more of an immediate preference than others. A genuine love for music creates an appreciation for all genres. One can respect or acknowledge the environment from which it was produced, its purpose, and the skill of the musician(s). I particularly became fond of The Andrew Sisters after experiencing the song “The Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”. I recall hearing it from a television commercial vaguely, but it was a completely new thing to see and hear them perform it.…

When I first listened to the song “Remember” by Mac Miller, it brought back so many unforgettable memories I had with my best friend Taegon who passed away. The main reason I picked this song was because it really taught me not to take things for granted and just to appreciate every moment you have with the ones you care most about. I first heard the song “Remember” about a week after Taegon passed away, while a couple friends and I were just hanging out in my car. My friend asked to see the aux cord and put the song on. All of my friends and I just went quiet and just sat there, and listened to the song.…

The most influential music in my life is the song “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw. Both my dad and I love country music, especially Tim McGraw. My dad thinks the world of my older sister and I. Like any great father, he would do absolutely anything for his girls. Whenever he hears this song on the radio, or wherever, he turns the volume up and belts out this song. This song makes me so grateful that I have such a huge blessing as my father, I don’t know what I would ever do without him.…

As for the article “from Song of Myself” by Walt Whitman illustrates how everything in nature has a purpose, and how he loves being outdoors and being around people who work outdoors, like builders, and sailors. One connection I found between Walt and Theodore is how they both described the nature of animals . For example, Walt described “The brood of the turkey-hen and she with her half-spread wings.” As for Theodore he expressed the gulls “Even the gulls quiet on the far rocks.” Another connection I found between the two authors is how they mention how nature is scattering.…

When I was just a toddler, I would try to climb in the dishwasher and take everything out while mom was trying to do the dishes. In order to keep me from doing that, dad needed to play video games as long as they entranced me. One of the games he played was The Legend of Zelda. Growing up with this game and spending time with my dad while he played it fueled the love I developed for this game and it’s music.
