The Sound of Thunder by Ray Bradbury is trying to express that doing what is are told will make success in life. In The Sound of Thunder Mr. Eckles sees a sign for a company that time travels. He goes inside and says that the wants to kill a dinosaur. Right before he gets in the time machine the say that he will be in big trouble and will get a big fine if the steps off the path. He goes and finds the dinosaur and when he sees the size of it he gets steps of the path. Travis and all of the others are very made and when they get back to the company Travis lifts his gun and shoots Eackles when he sees that there is a butterfly stuck to the bottom of his shoe. Always doing what is right will help in life.
