Between the two women, many similarities and differences are evident. Shortly after the shark attack, Bethany lost faith in God. She didn’t believe that what happened to her was part of God’s plan. Weeks after Bethany’s devastating attack, she began to realise the power and positive affect her story could be to others. Finally taking to more of an understanding for the meaning of God’s plan. Using her life experiences, Bethany was able to inspire many other people. This also was evident when she proved to the world that despite her loss, she learnt how to surf again and that anything was possible. Although Hannah’s story is very much so different, it is just as outstanding. Hannah was able to share her remarkable journey with many people, bringing them closer to God as they witnessed or overheard her miracle.
