Sorry Wrong Number Comparison

My compare/contrast essay Who would think that a phone could be centered around death or a murder? ‘Sorry wrong Number’, written by Lucille Fletcher, and ‘Sorry Right Number’, by Stephen King are both centered around a phone call that leads to death and a murder. Both stories are very similar, it’s said that Stephen King was inspired by ‘Sorry Wrong Number,’ even though there is a 50 year time gap between the plays. ‘Sorry Wrong Number’ is about an invalid woman, who calls a WRONG number, and accidently listens in on her own murder being planned. ‘Sorry Right Number’ is centered around Katie, a woman who gets a phone call, and later believes it was in fact herself calling herself to warn of her husband's death.

‘Sorry Right Number’ is a T.V show, which means you CAN watch it, but also read it, but I personally like watching and reading the same. In ‘Sorry Wrong Number’ Mrs.Stevenson is the main character, she hears a murder being planned. At one point in this Radio Play she is told she is insane, that would make sense considering she is a invalid, but she thinks she’s fine, in the end she gets murdered. FIRST MAN (quote from sorry wrong number) ‘Very well. YOu know the address. At eleven o’clock the private patrolman goes around the bar on Second Avenue for a beer. Be sure that all the lights downstairs are out. There should be only one light visible from the street. At eleven-fifteen a subway train crosses the bridge. It makes a noise in case her window is open and she should scream.’ That was when, she didn’t know it yet, but it was own murder being planned. ‘Sorry Right Number’ Is about Katie, who One day gets a phone call.
