According to Routon and Walker, there are both positive and negative outcomes of joining a sorority/fraternity during college and after. Positive effects include being more involved on campus and have higher paying jobs (mostly males) and more grad-school attendees than students who do not join Greek life. Although it does not directly correlate to GPA, students who were more involved in high school tend to join Greek organizations. Those who join fraternities and sororities often more involved on campus. Some negative effects of going Greek include more alcohol-consumption in college, more partying, and more and more alcohol consumption after college (mostly males). As for after graduation, Greek member in college are not necessarily correlated
