Introduction
The propose of this experiment was to see if we could conducted an experiment that we could elect data and act our hypothesis about sordaria. We hypothesized if tan and black sordaria got placed together to cross over, we could expect out of 50 sordarias that 27 would cross over and 23 would not cross over.
Some research has brought up some discussion about how much tan or black sordaria is one the agar square to begin with. (Kitani 1961) If these numbers are more than the other, then less crossing over would take place due to the face that they are not equal. The placement of the sordaria colonies may effect the number of crossing over because of the travel area the sordaria has to take to cross over. Sordaia is a spear shaped

In the nine unknown solutions experiment there was nine solutions that were labeled with just numbers from one to nine and all of these one to nine solutions were mixed together randomly to see what kind of reaction it would form. There were mostly no reactions being formed but the reactions that were soluble and insoluble formed different colors of precipitate. The main importance in finding the nine unknown solutions was to prevent any inaccuracies that might form when there is a chemical compound forming. This experiment was done to determine the identity of the nine unknown solutions like color (physical trait), and chemical characteristics.…

How do you think the turtles with 48 chromosomes came into being? If you mated the two types of turtles together, would you expect their offspring to be phenotypically normal?…

The Sorna and Suona are both interesting instruments because they are so similar but come from different cultures. After doing some research I found out that the Sorna, said to be from Achaemenid Dynasty (550-330BCE), is a double reed woodwind instrument from a Persian and Iranian background. They are not too large but give off a very powerful sound as well as sounds similar to an oboe. Reading from sources online they have said that the Sorna influenced the Suona which is a Chinese instrument, said to be from the Jin Dynasty (265-420), that is very similar to the Sorna. It has a similar build except it has a brass or copper bell but is still a double reed woodwind.…

The specimen is kept moist the entire time by adding drops of 5% malachite green onto a piece of bibulous paper that is covering the specimen. Afterward the bibulous paper is removed and the specimen is rinsed with DI water before being counterstained with safranin. Because of the endospore layer, endospore staining requires a longer period of time for the specimen to be stain and heat is used to drive the stain into the cells. The endospore layer also help retain the dye even after decolorized with DI water. Contrary, the malachite green will be washed of the cells without an endospore and take up the counterstain more easily making them visibly different under the…

We made sure to separate them by sex and by sampling method in order to observe the difference in body lengths. Once we placed them on the slides we then placed the slide on the projection scope. Using a string and a ruler we measured the body length (not including the antennae) of the C.Volutator’s shadow. In order to find the actual length we divided it by the actual length; we then recorded the datum and repeated the procedure (Biology Department, Laboratory 2,…
