The most important change, however, was not physical, but mental.

The change that was the most drastic was my leadership skills. At the end of my Sophomore year, I was in no position to become the Student Body Vice President. With the help of my friends, coaches, and of course, my mom; I am able to speak in front of crowds, voice my opinions without being afraid,

After my first two weeks of my junior year, I have discovered that junior year is going to be challenging. I will make critical decisions that will have a major impact on the next five years of my life (and beyond) as I start narrowing down list of colleges and career paths. Junior year will be stressful for me since I'm in multiple extracurricular activities and I'm taking Advanced Placement classes. I am thrilled that I took AP Language and Composition because it is going to prepare me for college and help me become a skillful writer. Lord of the Flies is a fascinating book.…

Though freshman me and senior me are the same in the education department, I am a different girl than I used to be with my maturity, my attitude, and my relationship with God.…

Senior Reflection Through the last thirteen years of my life I have had my good and bad times during school. Most of the times have been good but some have been bad but I have always kept my head up and stuck it through to the end. Finally the end is near my Senior year and almost graduation time I could not be happier. I have come this far and the reward is right in front of me with that reward being my Diploma which states that I have defeated the American School System and Graduated with a higher sense of accomplishment and pride. Once you have your Diploma an employer is more likely to hire you which is a good thing because when you have a job you can do more than if you were a poor person which is most of the united states right now cause most of us are on the edge of poverty.…

The girl’s varsity basketball program at Rockwall High School holds one state championship title, an unbroken district championship record of nearly twelve years and has competed in a total of three state championship games since 2005; the third state championship being in 2011¬, my freshman year. Though I had been playing basketball all my life, I knew I could improve myself after having been on the “B team” in middle school. I was still just discovering how to be fully in control of my long, lanky limbs, but nonetheless, I wanted more than to go out on the court and perform just as skillfully and poised as the girls on our varsity team. I mean they were going to state. They were celebrities in my eyes and they had earned it, too.…

He grabbed a black ,rough chair and held it in the air as he sat off into the school hallway for one last time.…

I'm going to be honest here-- my "formative" years are what many people would call uncouth. As a child growing up constantly toeing the poverty line almost daily it's not really surprising that people would say this. I grew up in two motels near the heart of Disneyland, California. My hobbies included laughing at tourists, reading books about other more interesting places, taking pictures on my moms cell phone, watching T.V. with my sisters and brother, and moving my belongings every 21 days. We had lived in this place and had known most of these people since I was nine years old and just finishing my fourth grade year.…
