I have never really thought of myself as a leader, because I was usually quiet and self centered. Sophomore year was the year I truly became assertive and controlling that made me become a “leader”. Besides being challenged in academics and music, my role in sports became more defined that year. Track season during spring started out fine as everything was relaxing and looking good. With a small core of discus and shotput throwers, around three out of six of us were looking to go big. We learned fundamentals relatively quick and started getting records every day. As things were looking to good, bad news struck only after a few weeks into the season when our coach was hospitalized in an accident. When the news was told to us, we were all thinking
