Brianna, Sadly, it is true that there is a negative connotation attached to DCPP. Way too many people believe that the goal of DCPP is to snatch children away from families. While it was still named DYFS people would say that just calling DYFS on parents would get a child removed from their home. I admire your decision to pursue a career with the DCPP, especially since people ignore the positive impact that the DCPP has. This loan was transferred to Asset Recovery department in December 2015 because of guarantor’s death, and his two beneficiaries’ refusal to provide their guarantees, and that the beneficiaries had depleted the estate. To make matters worse, the underlying collateral was/is contaminated, being an old Exxon gas station. This matter now has been resolved through a forbearance agreement (FA).
