Sony’s PlayStation and Microsoft’s Xbox are the two leading gaming consoles. Sony and Microsoft have been battle each other for the past 15 years to see whose console can be better. Along with the companies battling it out, the users of the opposite console also argue and debate about which console is better. Sony released the original PlayStation® on December 3, 1994 in Japan. The initial cost was 37,000 yen, or approximately $387. Within the first 30 days, the PlayStation® sold more than 300,000 units. On May 11, 1995 the United States got its first real look at the PlayStation®, at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3™).
