Sons of Anarchy featured in its cast some of the roughest life characters to be found on a TV series, without blinking an eye before committing any crime. Unsurprisingly, many of the actors had in real life, serial breakers of the law.
Many of the characters, guest actors, and supporting characters have records of a series of criminal offenses such as assaulting officers, possession of drugs, animal cruelty, murder, and a host of others. Additionally, some made confessions of severe substance abuse and other delinquencies, even though they had no legal offenses to their names.

David M. LaBrava
David M. LaBrava, who acted the role of Happy in Sons of Anarchy, has one of the most dramatic pasts for a SoA character.
Back in 2008, the actor, who belongs to the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club was taken into custody, while staying at a Missoula, Montana hotel. He was arrested after some people reported to the Sheriff Deputies he was keeping a woman in his hotel room without her consent. According to the report of the Missoulian, while trying to investigate the alleged assault, the deputies discovered a small amount of marijuana, cocaine concealed in a dollar bill, 1.5 grams of hashish, and a narcotics pipe with a death head style.
Later on, LaBrava was charged with double counts of felony drug possession, and charged with two counts of misdemeanor for possession of paraphernalia and marijuana.
