Class: 12 A Sonita film review One of the most popular documentaries that were released recently is the movie: Sonita, which was directed by Rakhsareh Ghaemmaghami. The leading actresses are: Sonita Alizadeh (as herself) and Rakhsareh Ghaemmaghami (as herself). The movie was set in Tehran, Iran, in Kabul, Afghanistan and in the United States. The film could be classified under the genre of biography and documentary. Basically, the film depicts the journey of an Afghan girl living in Iran, as she tries to achieve her ultimate dream of being a famous artist. However, Sonita encounters many obstacles; one of them is that her family wants to sell her as a bride.
