Music is one thing that we rarely go without every single day. We encounter it in our homes, our cars, the coffee shop, and even at work. I am willing to bet there are some songs that really poke at you when they play. They touch your heart or emotions in one way or another. Maybe it is a motivational song that helps get you pumped up for a workout. Or maybe it is a slow song that was played at a loved one’s funeral and every time you hear it you are swept away with memories of that person. This would be a good conversation piece for most groups if you were to choose, but today I want to share my past, present, and future with you in …show more content…
This next song really represents my present. This song is called “Tell the World,” and it was written by a Christian rapper named Lecrae. When we get raised by our parents or guardians we are usually brought up by them how they think a kid should be raised. My parents taught me to not be ashamed of my religion and to feel free about speaking it in public. I openly pray and speak about my faith in the public to this day. This song describes my present because in a sense I am telling the world about the God I believe in and worship. It also describes why I can speak about Him. It tells me to not be ashamed of who I believe in and to keep on telling the world about my savior. Now if I wanted to, I could have used this song as my “future” song but I decided I can use a better one for that …show more content…
The only one that knows what I will do in the many days/years to come is my God. We also don’t know if we will make it through today to see tomorrow. For all we know we could be dead tomorrow or if we are lucky in 70 years. I trust my future into God’s hands and trust that when I am done here on earth he will take me to be with him. “Sweet Victory” by Trip Lee is a really good song that tells about how we can keep pushing through the persecution to come and keep moving forward until the day when Christ calls us home. In the music video, you will see him in a car that is tattered and torn. The car is just plain beat. In the video, they are using the car to describe our lives. We may be battered and bruised but we keep pushing forward so that we can see our Lord on the final day. This song accurately describe what I want my future to look like, because I want to never lose my faith and fall into the temptations and

Listening to the selections I found they all generally appeal to me though others have more of an immediate preference than others. A genuine love for music creates an appreciation for all genres. One can respect or acknowledge the environment from which it was produced, its purpose, and the skill of the musician(s). I particularly became fond of The Andrew Sisters after experiencing the song “The Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”. I recall hearing it from a television commercial vaguely, but it was a completely new thing to see and hear them perform it.…

Every living thing will imagine their future and with it a little fear knotted in their stomach for how they could possibly accomplish all their dreams in this vast endless world. This can be heard with artist Graham a twenty seven year old from Christiania who sat down one day and began to tell out his life story, and future aspirations in his song “7 years old”. This song is a universally honest emotional song that makes one think back on their life as well as forward into one's goals, and even when silenced, the video speaks through images relaying that same powerful message. “7 Years Old” was created to be inspirational as well as appealing to all ages. The song grew out of Graham’s frustration trying to write a song different than other artists that really meant something memorable.…
