Music sets the mood for many events in our life. That is why song writing is an admired form of expression for several people around the world. Song writers often write very personal and emotional songs. Song writers can write songs alone although, sometimes a group of people write a song and music together. Song writing can be a worthwhile career if a song takes off in fame. Being a song writer is the most promising and rewarding career in the end compared to the manager, marketing executive, publisher, and producer. A manager in the music industry is responsible for balancing several tasks. Although they have many jobs, their main job is to secure the best work and fee for their clients. The work of a manager is normally very competitive, intense, and requires long hours at times. The marketing executive usually reports to the CEO, and is responsible for tactical planning to maintain old audiences while creating new audiences. They are also responsible for making revenue from box office sales and meeting sales quota. A marketing executive must be creative with products and sale tactic while maintaining a professional image. They must be familiar with the music industry and how it operates and is set up. The marketing executive may have many other responsibilities depending upon the size of the clientele.
The music publisher is responsible for registering copyrights, negotiating license, collecting due money. They are generally responsible for producing the finished product. The most important responsibility of the publisher is protecting its copyrights. The publisher must have an effective staff of people who actually know the artist and understand the music industry. Usually after one song has been recorded and released, the publisher will try and secure deals from other recording artists for future
