When you're family supports you, don't you feel like you can do anything? I know I do. In the short story song of the trees by mildred D. Taylor, a family stays strong when people threaten them because of each other's support. I think this story could be interpreted in many ways, but when I read it I felt the toughness of the family and how united they were as a team. They worked well together and always defended one another in their time of need. This story shows an exceptional example of a loving family, not that a family should be a certain way. A family may not always be the people you live with, they are just people that care about you and your well-being. Good families are made up of people who care about each other's well-being and happiness. In the story song of the trees it showcases this better than most stories ever could.
To start off, people who support you are your family. In the story, Cassie's little brother Little Man tried to help him and his siblings save the trees, but wasn't able to ambush the laborers.
