This song sounds like they experimented with a psychedelic new sound which would later become the genre of their next album (Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band) which is a complete different sound. This album also stands because Ringo Starr on lead vocals for this song. Starr rarely ever gets singing time. He would later make a song (“Octopus’s Garden”) which would be his second song he had ever written. This song would also reach number one on every major British charts. In the United States it reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100. This song would also become the name of a animated movie they would make called “Yellow Submarine”.
