The “sermon on the mount” was one of the Immense milestones in the teachings of Jesus Christ because of the knowledge gained by Gods people on that day. Luke’s version of the sermon jesus comes down from the mountain to a plain of many people, most sick or having unclean spirits. Power came from him and everyone was healed. He then goes into the beatitudes. saying something along the lines of Blessed are the poor. Blessed are the hungry, you will be filled. Blessed are you who cry, you will laugh. Blessed are you when men hate you. Be joyful because your reward in heaven will be. Then he gives the bad news or the woes. If you’re rich watch yourself. There will be days where you’re hungry if you are full now. Those who enjoy life is going to hate it and be depressed. The people that talk good of you now will spread rumors about you later. The next lesson taught is to love your enemies. Jesus wants us to bless people who curse us, lend without expecting return, and pray for those who abuse you. In addition to fighting hate with love you must also not be at all judgemental, if you are you’ll be judged as well. Give and you’ll get it back in a great quantity. Jesus uses the parable having of trying to get a speck out of your brothers eye when you have a plank in your eye. Jesus talks of good trees produce good fruit and bad trees produce bad fruit.
