The Dust Witch uses her balloon to fly around and try to incapacitate Will, but Will wields a bow and arrow with which he is eventually successful in popping the Witch’s balloon, and driving her away. Stop the heart” (227) displays a battle between Charles Halloway again representing the forces of good, versus the Dust Witch who yet again is on the side of evil.
