Fear. Something my book Divergent teaches people to overcome. Divergent is a novel written by Veronica Roth. It was first published on April 11th, 2011. Tris (the main character) lives in a futuristic world that is divided into five factions, abnegation, amity, candor, erudite, and dauntless. And is forced to face her fears, because she chose the faction Dauntless which requires them to be fearless. I think this is a good thing because you should not want to live your life scared of a certain thing. In the book Tris has to face her fears of burning, drowning, and something happening to her family. And if she eventually overcomes them, the heads of dauntless will find out she is Divergent.
