Introduction Global warming is a gradual process of heating of earth’s surface and whole environment including oceans, ice caps, etc. The global rise in atmospheric temperature has been clearly noticed in the recent years. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, in the past century there is increase in the earth’s surface average temperature by around 1.4 degree Fahrenheit (means 0.8 degrees Celsius) (see figure 1). It has also been estimated that global temperature may increase by another 2 to 11.5 degrees F in the next century. Our planet’s climate is increasingly prone to extreme weather events, and there is a steady trend towards temperatures. (see figure 2 below)

There are many natural causes also but they are contributing less than the human made causes. Now the effects of global warming can be easily felt by us such as decreasing winter season length and increasing summer season length. Earth is getting warm and warmer, even in the last decades the temperature of the earth has increased to a great extent. There are some effective measures following on the global level by the human beings may reduce the effect of global warming.
