Eleanor Roosevelt, one of the most outspoken women in the white house, states that “.. a great teacher is more important than the most gorgeous building. Where no such contacts have been experienced, the most ideal surroundings will not make our school days anything but a succession of dull and meaningless task.” (Roosevelt 14, Text 7)The school may be the most prestigious or classiest, but none of that matters. It could be a slum in the middle of New York City and it wouldn’t make a difference as long as there’s the right teacher. Speaking from personal experience, i had a very enthusiastic and passionate teacher. he made learning very fun because he would tell us stories and help us relate to what we were learning. he made the bland, lifeless, boring looking classroom have something unique and special to it. usually when i learn something i would always forget it but having a teacher like him,who makes learning more enjoyable, it helped me learn. i usually forget everything that i was taught after about a few weeks but his teachings stuck to me like gum. and knowledge is power. with power you will become more successful and people will respect you, Also, in life you can’t do anything without an education. if you don’t have education you won’t be able to read. Everywhere we are surrounded by words, from the labels on the back of a cereal box to the stop sign. its very essential to educated. But lately more kids are dropping out of school, and who knows, these kids could have the capacity to make a huge impact on our world. they could be the next einstein or bill gates, but this wont happen if we don’t put a change to our education system.
