My Solar Project Essay

\I worked for some time on a solar project with many wonderful souls from Ananda. Several years ago on this project, I had worked out some complicated pressure and thermal dynamic equations, and I thought our solar project wouldn’t work. I came to Swamiji in a huff with pages and pages of equations that demonstrated it wouldn’t work. I again gently insisted that I had double and triple checked the equations, and they were correct.

He again, gently insisted that I check them with Dharana.

When I checked those equations with Dharana, we found a mistake I had made. Perhaps, Swami

Sharma claims to have the power of telepathy. He once related to me that for quite a while he was slightly annoyed at Swami for not speaking with him in that subtle way. He knew that Swamiji had this gift, yet whenever he was near Swamiji, Swamiji was always strangely silent. Directly after this he realized that the goal of life, of yoga, of spirituality, was to quiet the mind, not merely to go on yapping all the time. That what he was supposed to be drawing from Swamiji was deep inner intuition that is born in the silence of one’s soul. From then on he simply tried to meditate when he was in Swamiji’s …show more content…
During it, he told the monks about his time with Master during Christmas, and more guests coming than expected to Mt Washington. In that story the monks gave up their seats for the guests. When Master was told about it, he said “ah, these are the things that please me.” The next day during the Christmas celebration at the Pune Ashram more guests than were expected came. Those monks that were in tune, again gave up their seats. I’ve always wondered how many of the monks noticed that Swami told the story the day before, and how many just gave up their seats out of natural

Journal 2 So far, the assigned reading and assignment has been informative and useful. When I finished reading chapter 2, I started to gain a better idea of the problem solving involved in programming. This week’s assignment, although not overly challenging, was beneficial to my learning. Another specific situation that changed Patel’s life forever was that day he woke up to an unknown girl in the house. He asked his Grandmother who she was, and she said that they were going to be taking care of her for a while.…

Kumare Documentary I found the Kumare documentary very entertaining and enlightening to watch. The clear message that everything each of us needs can be found inside of us was demonstrated in the ways that many of Kumare 's followers were able to improve and change their lives in spite of the fact that Kumare was not truly a guru or spiritual leader at the beginning. I also felt that Kumare learned as much from the process as his students did. While Vikram went into the process not believing that he was anything special, and not believing that anyone was really a true spiritual leader and that most of them were fakes, he came out realizing that he really did have the power to help people.…
