In the beginning of eighth grade, I read Sojourner Truth’s “And Ain’t I a Woman” with my classmates. After I read this story I began thinking about what people think of me just by my image. I asked some of my friends what they thought of me when we first met. They said that they thought I was this person who is always a happy person who loves everything. In other words, I would be called a preppy girl. I asked them where they got that from, but all of them replied: It’s because of your always smiling face. I had found this kind of hard to believe since I am more of a “loner” if I am being honest with myself. I do not blame people for thinking that though I just always have a smile on my face.
