Softball has played a big part in my life and has shaped me as not just an athlete, but as a person. I have had the privilege of playing three sports each year and travel softball along with those sports. Softball has taught me that being apart of something bigger than myself is much more meaningful and has more of an impact on my life.
Time management has played a big role in my academic standing and I would not have learned that without softball. I have learned responsibility through time management.

Why were black people segregated from baseball? Today many of the legends and greats we think of were African Americans, and it’s crazy to think they were excluded from the MLB just sixty years ago.
