A topic that I find engaging and feel like I lose track of time when I talk about is softball it's something I love and can talk forever about. Softball is basically my life almost every day i'm practicing some how if it's at actual practice with my travel team or running plays through my head every night and thinking about how i can improve myself. When anyone comes and talks to me about games or anything to do with softball I immediately lose my train of thought and become engaged in the conversation and can go on for hours and feel like I've only talked for a few minutes. Softball is something I turn to when I'm mad, sad, or happy no matter what kind of day I've had going to practice or a game just makes it feel like there's nothing else in the world. As soon as I step onto the field the rest of the world just disappears and doesn't exist and the only thing that matters is what's inside the fields fence. Softball is my happy place when I get to play it out ways all the bad like …show more content…
Playing college softball is one of my biggest dreams that I'm terrified of not fulfilling all my free time goes to softball and school I hardly have any social life and I'm ok with that. Almost every night I'm practicing till about 10 then I come home every night to do homework and study for hours. Ever since I was a little girl I would follow my dad around while he played ball almost every team he played for I was either the ball or bat girl and warmed up with the team almost every game. I've been at a ball field since I was able to walk it my passion that's never went away. I have never gotten tired of playing like most girls do when they play all their lives. It's a subject that I will always be engaged in and to talk about to anyone. Not many people actually believe me when I tell them all I do is softball they think I'm just being dramatic and blowing it out of proportion; but it is true all I do is softball and school work and that's why I can go on talking

Many people who don't know much about the sport think that softball is the easier version of baseball, but softball is much more fast paced and has less time to react to the ball. Softball is also a great way to build social connections and community. Every team I have been on has had a very tight knit connection and that is something that I think is the standard for most softball teams. My experience with softball has been one of the most impactful and adventurous experiences I have ever had. I owe everything I have to this game and I could not be more thankful for the opportunities I have gotten because of it.…

Like all little kids, I just wanted to get to feel the thrill of getting a hit and running around all of the bases to make it home. At six years old not only was I new to the sport of softball, but also to the girls that were signed up for the team. Prior to living in Brasher Falls and playing softball in North Lawrence, my family lived in Bombay. I have always been very talkative, sociable, and bold, so making friends with the other girls was not an issue for me. Some of the girls that I became friends with through coach pitch and first-sixth grade softball ended up being my teammates while playing basketball and softball all throughout high school.…

Sixty miles per hour is the speed at which the average softball player throws the ball; so I guess you could say I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, but I believe I was exactly where I was supposed to be. You know how some people say there was a certain moment that changed their life completely? Well, this was that moment for me, and it all was caused by a miscommunication. Miscommunications happen all of the time, but with a softball that isn't actually soft, and someone standing only 30 feet away from you; well you can already see the implications. Several people often misconceive softball as being an effortless, female dominated sport that requires little to no skill. Some say that softball is just a sport in which you hit the ball and run through bases trying not to get out.
