Alecia Beth Moore, well known as Pink is an American singer and songwriter. Pink is constantly being displayed as ‘tough and wild’ but her soft rock song “Dear Mr. President” shows her politically and socially conscious side. The song was written in 2005 and sooner released in 2006. Just as there are different genres in books and movies there are also different genres in music videos. There are three main genres, these are narrative, conceptual and performance. However, music videos can be a combination of any or all these. In this case the music video to “Dear Mr. President” is conceptual as it is based around a concept or idea.
