Sofia Vergara, who plays a stunning housewife in the sitcom Modern Family, admits it's not the most competent person when it comes to technology. However, being one of the founders of Latin World Entertainment, one of the partners of CNET Spanish actress is inevitably surrounded by technology. And his love of technology has gained ground to realize how much control gives the iPhone - so much that is now designing a new home you can control from your smartphone.
"I want a smart home that does not make me feel silly to have to deal with a million control devices and power lines," says the actress of 42 years. "This is to simplify life."

What made you decide you wanted a smart home?
I'm not the most technically competent person in the world. I'm lazy. I have no patience to read the instructions - to deal with entries from 10 devices to watch a movie, to change to cable, open a door or play my music. All I want is a touchpad with no buttons or cables, everything is wireless - all the control is in the palm of my hand. And, I hope to be activated and turn appliances and even security system functions with my voice - with a Latin accent, of course.
