Soda Vs Soda

Changing the type of liquid from water to soda appears to crush the soda can a bit more. When we added water to the soda can the average percentage of the can crushed in milliliters after being flipped onto the pie tin was 40%. But when we added soda to the can instead of water the average percentage of the can crushed was 45%. That is 5% of the soda can being crushed more when soda was in the can. Our evidence was strong because when we were doing our experiment, we made sure that the can crushed effectively when the independent variable that was being tested was the soda in the can. We also did good in making sure that the volume in our can stayed as a control variable. However, our data for water was kind of weak because we made a few random errors while doing that part of the experiment. At first we couldn’t flip the can fast enough and we had to try all over again which made the soda can more worn out. I believe the evidence I gathered proved my hypothesis correct because even though the soda can was only a slightly bit more crushed when we added soda to the can(table shows the percentage of can crushed when water added to the can was 40%, and when soda is added to the can the average percentage of the can crushed was 45%), it would still be a more effective way because we can just use the soda already in the can to make the process faster.
