There is clear evidence that the Socs have it worse than the Greasers because they are exposed to violence and are not given any boundaries to their games. Some may say that the poor kids struggle more because they have to learn to make a living for themselves and become more independent; on the other hand some people may say that the rich kids struggle more because they have very little parental support and are pushed to do better. Because of the lack of restraint and lack of discipline the Socs try their hardest to get their parents attentions to notice them and finally give them some sort of limit or boundary.

In the first paragraph the Socs get so consumed in masking their feelings that they make it seem like they are emotionless and at the same time they struggle to keep their emotions in check. In the second paragraph the rich children go out of their way do whatever they want so they can test their parents and see if they will finally give them a line of restriction. In the third paragraph however an example of a counterargument is made from the point of view of someone who would argue that the Greasers have it worse though it is wrong.
