Retell The book starts off with us meeting Ponyboy Curtis, he comes out from a movie theater and is walking home when he gets attacked by socs. The socs give him a cut on his neck, but luckily he was near his home and he gets saved by his family. He lives with his 2 brothers Darry and Sodapop. The boys have recently lost their parents to a car accident, so they live together on the east side of their town. In the town that they live in the people are divided into two groups, the socs, and the greasers. The socs are the rich people of the town and the greasers are the poor kids of town.
