I urge the educator to be passionate about their job; concerned about the students’ well-being and also for their future careers. I think that questions are an excellent way to start a discussion in the class because people become more engaged in the subject matter. When the teacher asks the student a question you can see which students understand the subject and which students still are unsure of the topic. Also I agree with Socrates belief that they should educate the student not just on different subject matter but also on moral education and focus on how the students ought to live their life. I think it is important for teachers to guide there students in the right direction to live a moral and virtuous life. I believe that students should be in charge of their own individual self to find knowledge because it is the student’s obligation to put forth an effort to learn about knowledge without the teacher spoon feeding them information that they need to memorize. Students should think for themselves and use their own minds instead of the teacher simply giving them the answers. This means that the student would not have to guess at the answer, but they are told the correct answers from the very beginning. On the other hand, I think it is better for the student to be asked questions, even though they may get the answer wrong in the first place.
