Yet, the majority of us go day to day reacting to events and just getting by rather than making conscious choices based on who we are and what it is we actually want. Through this observation, I realized that in order for me to become more aware of myself I had to start asking questions through the process of self-examination. For example, by becoming aware of my strengths and weakness, and observing my reactions and responses to what is happening in my life, as well as, the world around me, helped me develop a sense of self through an analysis of what I liked and disliked. This is something, Socrates placed emphasis on people to do so that way they would be improving who they were and taking care of themselves by learning who they were so they could achieve something. By applying Socrates recommendation of self-introspection into my life, not only am I being attentive to myself but also making better decisions and creating goals to live a more productive life through the process of knowing who I am and what it is I actually want in
