Socrates goes on the question, “Is it pious loved by the gods because it is pious, or is it pious because it is loved by the gods?” In other words, is something good because the Gods think it is good, or do the Gods approve of something because it is good? This argument can be seen from two sides, whether or not something is good because the Gods said it was or do the Gods approve of something because it is good? Whether anyone wants to admit it or not, we as humans care about the opinion of others. If a majority of the people you associate with agree on something, chances are you are not going to disagree with them, regardless of the reason why. There are always cases where not everyone agrees with each other, but the for the most part, we are influenced by our fellow peers.
