As we all know, generally, the man are usually stronger than the woman, and the woman are usually more careful than the man. So, I believe that the man and woman have the differences in some areas. In hence, I decide to verify that whether Socrates’ opinion is true or false.

In Socrates’ “Republic” each people, no matter man and woman, they should perform their duties: just like if a man who is master how to making clothes, in that way, he would become a tailor. In the same way, if a woman who is master how to fight with enemies, in that way, she would become a soldier. But in our tradition thought, we believe that become a soldier is male’s work, the woman only has to manage the household industriously and thriftily, they do not need to fight with enemies and become a soldier. But in Socrates’s opinion about the “equality”, if a woman’s fighting talent better than any other talents, she would use her excellent fighting ability to fight with enemies. Except that, there are many works are no different to male and female, just like the teacher, governor, and businessman. So I think the man and woman are essentially the no different. In conclusion, I think it’s enough to prove that man and woman are essentially the same. Although, in most time, man is stronger than the woman, but it’s the difference of physical fitness, not the essence.
