As I’ve attended Sacramento State for the past four years, I have grown an interest in the way we develop as youth and as an adult. My attitude towards sociology grew as I began to further investigate the environment and how we develop as human beings. My sociological self-discovery in life was working with and helping the general public. I developed an interest in helping people get on the right track by emphasizing the great things in life compared to the negative aspects that we indulge in on a daily basis. Having a better understanding of who we are as human beings, brought me into Sociology. I believe as a sociologist, I will build an understanding of the social behaviors that cultivate throughout each day. We all have different opinions

As you develop and grow up, everyone lives a very different life. Some will grow up wealthy, while others will grow up with little to no opportunities for success in our social world. This wealth gap concerns me that some could live so wealthy while other could live without the basic necessities to life. I would love to further investigate each opinion through interviews to get a better understanding of this sociological issue and how we can lower the difference between the two. Racism has also been a big issue that has concerned me from a sociological perspective. The majority of people overgeneralize about different groups of people To address these issues my approach is to find a deeper understanding of our social issues by getting an opportunity to see first-hand the things that have cultivated one to act in the way he/she may think is right. Everyone has a different understanding of life through different personal experiences, which have influenced one both negatively and positively. I would also have to study regions of people to get a good understanding of the social issues depending on the region. Having a deep understanding of the research will give you me an opportunity to find things that’ll help improve that specific
