Sociology is the study of human social life, groups and societies. Through sociology, we are able to understand the structures and dynamics of our society. Sociology offers a distinctive and enlightening way of seeing and understanding the social world in which we live and which shapes our lives. Sociology looks beyond normal, taken-for-granted views of reality, to provide deeper, more challenging and preservative understandings of social life. Through its particular analytical perspective, social theories, and research methods, sociology is a discipline that expands our awareness and analysis of the human social relationships, cultures, and institutions that profoundly play a big role in both our lives and human ancient history.
As from all the way back to ancient history, sociology was first introduced to the united stated of America as a scientific discipline in early 19th century. Ever since that sociology started to be an academically response to the challenge of modernity. In our society we have different parts that is in charge of different things, such as different institutions like school, church groups, government, etc. In order of all parts working together smoothly and efficiently the society is shaped and maintained by common sense and common values All together these form a collective conscience that holds society together.
